STATEN ISLAND, NY - Provincial House - SSP Vocation Office
Staten Island (New York, 1932). Provincial house and editorial, administrative and commercial center of the apostolate. The community is made up of 21 confreres (6 priests and 15 disciples, with median age of 69,43), committed in redaction (2) and above all in diffusion and marketing (11). For some years the digital activity has started, with a catalog and newsletters; worthy of note is the sale online through the ebay societies of Amazon Kindle and Apple Store, with encouraging prospects. Being carried out with almost weekly cadence are book exhibits in English, Spanish and even Korean. A locale of our residence is used for continuous adoration, managed by a group of laypersons. Notable religious appeal is constituted by the presence of a Way Side Shrine, open day and night for the devotion of the faithful. The vocation activity is conducted almost exclusively by means of the internet. A bookstore, at ground level of the apostolic building, faces the street in quite a visible way and is discreetly frequented.
Aggregated Institutes. There are 6 Annunciationists scattered in the territory of the United States, 1 priest of the Institute Jesus Priest and about 300 persons connected with the Institute of the Holy Family.
